Our orientation for long-term students ran from August 29 –September 2 at Uplands Campus. Over 340 students from 20 countries were in attendance for a week of learning and fun.
Students met our staff, toured their high schools and received practical information about the bus system, money, banking, homestay, culture, and more, to help them adjust to living and studying in Canada.
Students also enjoyed the following activities:
· a walking tour of downtown Victoria, including many of the city’s famous points of interest;
· a trip to All Fun Recreation Park, where students played mini-golf, practiced their driving skills on the go-cart circuit and gave their arms a workout in the batting cages, and
· a pizza lunch, followed by a high-energy afternoon of outdoor sports and games, and great music from the DJ brought in specially for the occasion.
We’d like to thank all our students for choosing VIHSP, and we wish each and every one of them great success in the year ahead.
