Group ESL Study Tours and Canadian Adventure Program Series
This year-round program welcomes students to explore the culture of Western Canada with custom-designed study tours.
The Program
- For groups of 10 or more
- For participants between 12 – 18
- Study tours combine English instruction and cultural touring and activities
- ESL classes are based in a Greater Victoria School District school
- Cultural touring and athletic activities may include downtown and oceanside walking tours, hiking, swimming, visiting local cultural sites, fieldtrips, arts and crafts, and other events

Canadian Adventure Program Series
We also offer the Canadian Adventure Program Series (CAPS) as a complement to our study tours package. For study tours over two weeks in length, the following options are available at a variety of area resorts:
Winter/Spring Offerings
Mount Washington Alpine Resort
- 200 kilometres north of Victoria
- Offers special packages for students interested in learning to ski or snowboard
Whistler Mountain Resort
- North of Vancouver, about 400 kilometres from Victoria
- Over 7,000 acres of the world’s best skiing and boarding terrain
Spring /Summer Offerings
Camp Thunderbird
- Available in July and August only
- 30 kilometres west of Victoria in the Sooke Hills
- Located by a lake, inside a beautiful 1200-acre forest
- Activities may include hiking, swimming, canoeing and rock climbing, environmental studies, and crafts
- Campers sleep in snug cabins and eat in a modern dining centre
Strathcona Park Lodge
- 450 kilometres north of Victoria
- A world-renowned education centre, overlooking Upper Campbell Lake
- Campers will be comfortably housed in cabins
- Outdoor activities may include kayaking, rock climbing, high-ropes challenge, canoeing, swimming, hiking and orienteering
- Dining is buffet style
Whistler Mountain Resort
- North of Vancouver, about 400 kilometres from Victoria
- Year-round resort with many opportunities for outdoor fun
- Activities include: mountain biking, river rafting, golf, hiking, tennis and swimming
