Short-Term High School Experience Program
Experience life in a Canadian high school without disrupting your studies at home.
The Program
- For students 12 – 18 years old
- Choose program length: 1 month, 6 weeks, 2 months, or 3 months
- Our high schools offer about 5 hours of class time each day
- Spend 1 – 2 hours per day studying English as a Second Language
- Participate in regular high school classes like theatre, art, and physical education with Canadian students
The Experience
- Get involved in extra-curricular school activities
- Join all host family activities
- An International Student Program Adviser is in each school to give guidance to students about their academic studies and school activities.
- Stay with a warm, friendly, and supportive Canadian host family

How To Apply
- Students may enter the program anytime from mid-September to mid-June
- A Valid Travel Document (passport) is required
- You do not need a Study Permit
- Download the application form and fax or mail it to the VIHSP office along with full fee payment
